This place is fantastic! I chose a birth center after my hospital experience with my first child left me very disappointed. The midwife, Bernadette, and the rest of the staff are amazing! The experience was so wonderful and healing. I had a water birth and was so at peace and enjoyed the whole experience. If I ever have another baby I’m definitely going to come back!

Bernadette is awesome! She is intuitive and very knowledgeable! She takes a lot of time at each visit to talk with you and answer any questions. She went above and beyond to help us when our daughter was born. It’s also awesome that she chooses to accept Medicaid! Thanks so much!

Most amazing place and friendly/family environment. I had my first child their in 2012 and now having another little one their. Best experience of my life. Plus they help you feel comfortable and relaxed and move freely. Needs to be more then 5 stars!!!! 🙂

Bernadette assisted with the birth of my first baby in February of 2004. I was all set on having an all natural water birth and that is what I did. She and my other midwife made me as comfortable as possible while in labor. The quick thinking and deep knowledge of what they were doing was incredible. They made sure that my husband was totally involved and talked him and I through everything. Never once did I feel like I had chosen the wrong birthing method. I felt safe and I trusted this incredible moment to them. If I were to have any more children, this is the way I would go again. Bernadette knows her business and she does it very well!

We were so grateful to be able to birth at Rite of Passage. When we moved to the area at the beginning of my third trimester already I was extremely concerned, because I’d had natural childbirth in a hospital with my first and just did not get the birth I wanted. I did
not want to go down that road again. But as soon as we met Bernadette, both my husband and I were totally comforted and our decision was made. We loved the personal attention we received throughout the rest of my pregnancy and felt we were not just numbers but that Bernadette really addressed our concerns and questions. Kaleb was born in the water and the whole experience was truly beautiful. My husband said watching Kaleb emerge underwater with his eyes open and swimming was surreal. He felt the whole thing and especially his supporting role was so much better than our experience with the hospital, and I agree 110%. I would love to birth at Rite of Passage with Bernadette again and recommend her to everyone!
